Life Be In It

Kym in action on the pitch......woo you go girl
.........and the winners are!!!!

Yesterday it was our Ward Picnic @ Myrtle Park. It was a perfect day for it with sun, cool breeze, ginormous jack jumpers, grazing, fun, laughter, games, crosswords, scavenger hunt, sleep, chat, walk along the river, ride the rapids, fishing, listen to the birds, cricket & simply enjoying good company, just simply enjoying the great outdoors. You can't get much better than that.

After feeding time, wait......picnics, feeding time is never over hence the grazing! Kym had organised a scavenger hunt of which the 'Ota 'Ota & Johnstone Team won.

Then it was onto the Pitch for a game of 'move over Ricky Ponting, you guessed it, cricket. Well what a field we had...... oh & the players were not bad either. There were some great 6's hit & a few great catches & not so great catches. The length of the pitch seemed to move a little depending on who was batting & bowling. Rules of the game were you had to run if you hit it & you couldn't go out on the first wicket. Kym was practising her fast bowling routine which looked impressive while others we won't even mention because I don't think there's a style that describes it. Batting was great by everyone & Bish did a dive, roll & catch which was superb, one of which he wouldn't repeat for the camera...... where's the papparazi when you need them????

Some teamed up to bat like the Bailey sisters, Rodgers father & daughter, Johnstone & outside leg daughter. HOWZAT for fun & family togetherness. It was a great day out in the park.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 6TH

Just some added bits:

72hr pack: this month we are to obtain the 'pack' for our items to go in. Whether it is a backpack, a bag or even one on wheels for those who have difficulty carrying things.

THere is no woodwork this week due to show day.

Please let Aleitia know if you have been visiting teaching for September please.

Temple recommeds need to be re-issued from a member of the bishopric (no new interviews) They are able to scan and record in the data base with the new ones.

Please remember Maxine in your prayers, as she lost her father last week, funeral on Tuesday.

The lesson today was from Bronwen Gugliotti:

It was on unity and getting along with people. We are all different but striving for the same thing. If you have issues with some one or something, as Bronwen suggests 'Get over it".
We need to move forward and aim for perfection, just like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Have a wonderful week sisters.
